Every year hundreds of individuals and businesses step forward to support the Calistoga Education Foundation in many ways. These members of our community affirmed their confidence and belief in our public school system and chose to make a difference in the lives of our students. Special Announcement
The CEF Board is delighted to announce that Dario Sattui has donated $10,000 to the Foundation. This special donation will fund the purchase of 12 Wolfe Beta Binocular Microscopes and 1 Wolfe Beta Trinocular Microscope.
These Microscopes have better optics and illumination sources as well as oil immersion lenses, which allow students to study bacteria, fungi, algae, and conduct in-depth human tissue and cell studies. They allow our students to be competitive scholastically and study all state standards involving laboratory and microscopic work. The new microscopes will be used in the high school A.P. Biology, Physiology, and Biology classes. The current Calistoga Junior/Senior High School microscopes will be given to the 7th grade Life Science classes and the existing microscopes used in the Life Science classes will be given to the Elementary School. We would like to thank Dario Sattui on behalf of the Calistoga Education Foundation Board, the teachers, and the students for his VERY generous donation.
